What DTG printing means

Direct-to-garment printing applies ink directly to the shirt. The process is well suited to made-to-order custom graphics because the artwork can include multiple colors, fine lines, and detailed imagery without requiring a separate screen for every color.

The final result still depends on the source artwork, garment color, fabric, print size, and placement.

When DTG printing is a good fit

    Illustrations, character artwork, photographs, and designs with small visual details.

    Designs that use several colors, gradients, or transitions rather than a single flat ink color.

Start with the cleanest artwork available

Use a sharp, high-resolution source file. Transparent PNG artwork is useful when you do not want a rectangular background to print. Avoid enlarging a tiny or blurry file and expecting the placement preview to restore lost detail.
